Europa Stamps on Postcards.

Hello!

I'm 28 years old and I'm a historian, living and working in the south of Germany. I am fascinated by history as well as art and literature and I also recently started to collect stamps.
In my free time you can either find me on a walk in the woods or with my nose burried deep down in a good book.

In the 1950s and 60s my grandfather had a lot of international pen pals and collected stamps from all around the globe. When I was a child - back when computers didn't exist - he often sat down with me, showed me his stamps and told me stories about all the different countries. A few years ago I inherited his small collection and I would now like to carry on his tradition to explore the world through mail and postcards.

As a historian, I am delighted that the 2025 Europa Stamps are dedicated to archaeological discoveries. This is a great way to learn more about the cultural backgound of all of the countries in Europe.
